Bosch Dishwasher & Wall Oven Repair in Sands Point

E-codes, drainage faults and quiet-running dishwashers

Bosch is the quiet, well-engineered workhorse of a lot of North Shore kitchens, and the repair pattern reflects that: dishwashers first by a wide margin, then wall ovens and induction cooktops. Most Bosch dishwasher faults are drainage or water-detection problems rather than component failures, which is good news - they are usually fixable at the diagnostic visit.

Serving Sands Point, Port Washington, Manhasset, Roslyn & Nassau County

A Bosch dishwasher that has stopped with water showing is worked in a fixed order: filters and sump first, then the drain hose and any air gap or disposer connection, then the drain pump, and only then the base float and its sensor. Doing it in that order finds the cause of most faults without a part at all. On wall ovens we separate sensor, control and element the same way we do on any premium oven - measure, then quote.

What We Offer

  • Dishwasher drainage, filter and float diagnosis at the first visit
  • Wall oven control and thermostat repair
  • Induction cooktop fault-finding, including overheat cut-outs
  • Genuine OEM Bosch parts
  • 1-Year Parts & Labor Warranty

Common Problems We Fix

  • Dishwasher stops with water in the base and the AquaStop float tripped
  • Standing water in the tub at the end of a cycle
  • Blocked filters or spray arms leaving grit on the dishes
  • Cycle runs long or never completes
  • Door latch or lock failing to register closed
  • Wall oven control panel unresponsive or displaying a fault
  • Induction cooktop element cutting out under load

Maintenance Tips

  • Clean the dishwasher filter monthly - it is the single biggest cause of poor results and long cycles
  • Check the drain hose high loop or air gap after any work under the sink; a dropped loop siphons dirty water back
  • Run a hot tap at the sink before starting a cycle so the machine begins with hot water
  • Wipe the door seal every few weeks; a perished seal is the usual source of water in the base
  • Do not overload the lower basket against the spray arm - blocked rotation looks like a pump fault

Answers

Frequently asked questions

My Bosch dishwasher shows E15 and will not run. What now?

E15 means the base tray has water in it and the anti-flood float has tripped. The machine will not run until the water is removed and the leak is found. It is protecting the floor, so do not simply reset it - the common sources are a perished door seal, a loose hose clamp, a cracked spray-arm feed or a weeping pump seal.

There is water standing in the tub after every cycle.

That is a drainage fault, commonly reported as E24. Work outwards from the machine: filter and sump, then the drain hose and its high loop, then the air gap or disposer connection, then the pump. A new disposer installed without the knockout plug removed is a surprisingly frequent cause.

What does a Bosch dishwasher repair cost?

Dishwasher repairs typically run $200-$600, with the $95 diagnostic credited toward the repair. Some drainage faults are resolved during the diagnostic visit with no part at all, and we will tell you when that is the case.

Do you service Bosch wall ovens and induction cooktops too?

Yes. Wall oven control boards, thermostats and door hinges, and induction cooktops including elements that cut out under load - usually a cooling-fan or ventilation problem rather than the element itself.

“The washer stopped spinning and left standing water in the drum. He tested the drain pump, pulled out a hairpin and a dime, then fitted a new pump because the impeller was already chipped. Spin sounds right again.”
— Tomas E.
“Our 648 side-by-side sat at 48 degrees on the fresh food side for two days. The condenser fan had seized and the coil was packed with lint. Cleaned, fan swapped, and it read 38 by that evening.”

“Hollow, thin cubes for a month. Flow at the fill valve was barely a trickle, so he changed the valve and the filter head. The bin fills overnight now.”
— Dov K., Port Washington, NY · November 2025
“The lower zone was running three degrees warm and drifting. He traced it to a failed thermistor rather than the compressor I was dreading. The part took a week to arrive, but the zone has held steady since.”
